The fourth PWA World Cup in Alacati will be held from the 11th until the 16th of August. The organizers managed to get a lot of big windsurfers to this event, like:
- Antoine albeau (nr. 1)
- Kevin Pritchard (nr. 2)
- Bjorn Dunkerbeck (nr. 3)
- Cyril Moussilmani (nr. 4)
- Peter Volwater (nr. 5) (Peter is in shape this season!)
Micah Buzianis is not capable of defending his current position in the tour due to a broken leg.
The riders will be competing for the last (slalom) points on the 2008 tour since Sylt will be the only event after Alacati.

The wind forecast for the event is great. No pounding winds but a good breeze to do some serious racing. Kevin Pritchard writes on his blog that he is ready for the challenge.
