Here is a collection with some of the best windsurfing wallpapers I could find. Every year big photo shoots are organized by the big windsurfing brands in the industry because they need new image material for their brochures. Wallpapers are of course also a great way to promote your brand. It is free exposure. Well, I don’t mind. Usually the photos are high quality. Enjoy!

Severne Sails will become the new sail sponsor for Karin Jaggi! A few weeks ago people were speculating if Severne Sails or Maui Sails would become the new sail sponsor for Jaggi. Severne Sails has a really strong racing team because of this transfer. Bjorn Dunkerbeck is also on the team and doesn’t need an introduction. The accomplishments of Karin Jaggi are also impressive. Check this list with results:

Windsurfers Gollito Estredo and Yoli de Brendt

Windsurfers Gollito Estredo and Yoli Brendt are rewarded with an award from the Venezuelan government. They receive this award because they are a great example for the children in Venezuela. It’s great that you can contribute something to the community by windsurfing. This is what Gollito has to say about it:

A just had a very special day… when the Venezuelan Government, here at my Island of Margarita decided to give me a special award for my Sports Career… I was pretty stoked with the award, not so much by giving a speach in front of i don´t kniow how many people…. but yes, it was something very special for me.. !!!!!!

The last few years the fair really diminished (at least with windsurfing stuff). Also this edition of Boot 2009.

MauiSails new sponsor Karin Jaggi?

by Maarten on January 7, 2009

windsurfer Karin JaggiWord is going around that Karin Jaggi is looking for a new sponsor. MauiSails and Severne Sails are two brands mentioned as possible sponsor. Barry Spanier confirmed on the MauiSails forum that they are not  planning to hire Karin Jaggi and it are definite rumors. Who will sponsor Karin Jaggi is uncertain, but she will leave North Sails behind.

Gonzo (11h on the PWA Slalom 2008) probably will be on the MauiSails team.
